Welcome to OFK!

Curious about freediving? We are a club based in Oslo that provides activities and training within all freediving disciplines. Our goal is to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all.  We currently have around 200 members of various ages and nationalities.

We provide activities for anyone who wants to freedive, whether it’s recreational trips to explore the underwater world to take photographs and spearfish, or training in sport freediving at depth or apnea in the pool.

About Oslo Freediving Club

Oslo Fridykkerklubb (OFK) was established in 2001 to promote all types of freediving through a safe and inclusive environment, and to spread knowledge about freediving as a sport and hobby. In 2023 we merged with Spearos Oslofjord.

We are part of Oslo Idrettskrets and the Norwegian Sports Confederation. Our clubhouse is part of the Fjord School, a marine knowledge center with the aim of preserving the Oslo Fjord, and inspiring children and youth to protect and care for the ocean.

Throughout the year, we hold training and provide activities within all freediving disciplines

  • We have weekly trainings in the pool in the winter, and in the sea in the summer
  • We also offer training for those who want to freedive competitively. OFK competes both nationally and internationally.
  • Throughout the year, we organize day and weekend  trips for those who want to explore life underwater, and participate in underwater hunting or underwater photography.
  • OFK U is an offer for children and youth between the ages of 10 and 16, where we provide training and activities with experienced freediving instructors.

We also arrange dinners, gatherings, and other social activities throughout the year.

Freediving courses

Freediving is an incredibly rewarding and exciting hobby and sport! But it also requires some knowledge about safety and how it affects the body. A freediving certificate is therefore mandatory for all our activities in OFK.

We offer different introduction courses depending on what you want to achieve. Contact us at ofkstyret@gmail.com or Instagram @oslofridykkerklubb for more information about available courses.
